Stéphane erinnert sich, wie er in den 1990er Jahren zum Mitglied einer Terrororganisation gegen den französischen Staat geworden ist und zusammen mit seinen Kameraden Anschläge in der korsischen Kleinstadt Bastia verübte. Es fing an mit einem Auftrag als Kurier, bei dem der Sohn aus bürgerlichem Hause für seine nationalistischen Freunde einen Koffer mit Waffen aufs Festland schmuggelte. Während seines Gefängnisaufenthaltes – Stéphane wurde erwischt und wegen illegalen Waffenbesitzes verurteilt – lässt er sich von François, dem Kopf einer politischen Terrororganisation, anwerben.
