Der Fang ist so lukrativ, dass der Fisch als "Weißes Gold" bezeichnet wird. Wird der Fang nicht gestoppt, wird das natürliche Gleichgewicht des Rossmeeres für immer zerstört. Die "the Last Ocean"-Kampagne wurde gestartet, um kommerzielle Fischer und Regierungen für den Schutz des letzten unberührten Oceans der Welt vor unserem unbändigen Hunger nach Fisch zu gewinnen.
