Erschwerend kommt hinzu, dass José, der ehemalige Gärtner immer wieder auftaucht und anscheinend die Gesellschaft des Jungen sucht. Für Mona ist er an der Verwilderung der Kinder Schuld. Den Aussagen der beiden Kinder und der Haushälterin, José sei seit zwei Jahren tot, schenkt sie keinen Glauben. Besessen von ihrem Ziel merkt sie nicht, dass die Kinder ganz andere Pläne mit ihr haben.
