Hongkong: Der frühere Restaurateur und Kunstfälscher Li Zhenmu hat sich vor einigen Jahren zur Ruhe gesetzt und ist nun als Parfümtester tätig. Als ein Gangsterboss und seine Schergen ihn dazu zwingen wollen, seine exzellenten Fähigkeiten wieder aufzunehmen, um ein Gemälde aus der Zeit der Tang-Dynastie zu restaurieren, weigert sich Li zunächst. Auch der Einsatz einer Femme Fatale erzielt bei dem abgezockten Fälscher Li nicht das gewünschte Resultat. Erst als seine Tochter, deren Verhältnis zu ihm sich erst vor kurzem wieder normalisiert hat, von den Gangstern bedroht wird, willigt der Künstler ein. Doch welchen Plan verfolgen die Kriminellen? Schon bald findet sich Li inmitten einer tödlichen tödlichen Verschwörung um das wertvolle Gemälde wieder.

Aber es ist auch klar, aus dieser Situation kommen sie so schnell nicht einfach wieder heraus.
