Ben Wang’s BREATHIN’: THE EDDY ZHENG STORY paints an intimate portrait of Eddy—the prisoner, the immigrant, the son, the activist—on his journey to freedom, rehabilitation and redemption. BREATHIN’ moves with a deep, critical love, unafraid in confronting the hard truths of Eddy’s crime, the harsh realities of mass incarceration and the intertwined emotional hardships experienced by all involved. The film finds Eddy at many crossroads — in and out of parole hearings, organizing in the community, othered and at risk of deportation — his resilience and astounding compassion resounding throughout. In chronicling Eddy’s decades-long struggle for freedom, the film interrogates the complexities and hypocrisies of crime and punishment in the United States, raising the greater question: For whom are prisons for?

Retour sur l'enregistrement de l'album culte "Exile on Main Street" des Rolling Stones : En 1971, pour respirer un peu de leurs problèmes fiscaux et de gestion, les Stones se rendent en France. Jimmy Miller gare un camion d'enregistrement à côté de la villa Blue Coast de Keith Richards et d'Anita Pallenberg, et en juin, le groupe est dans le sous-sol quelques jours à la suite. A l'étage, héroïne, bourbon et visiteurs sont partout. Les Stones, d'autres musiciens et l'équipe, Pallenberg et le photographe Dominique Tarle, ainsi que d'anciens clips et photos et des séquences contemporaines, permettent de commenter la construction aléatoire de l'album. En septembre, la villa est vide ; Richards et Jagger achèvent la production à Los Angeles. "Exile on Main Street" est sorti avec des critiques médiocres qui cèdent bientôt la place à la lionisation.
