Der Minister schickt seinen besten Mann, und der macht kurzen Prozess, was wiederum die unerschrockene, eben erst zur Kriminalpolizei beförderte Nora auf den Plan ruft. Bald macht auch sie Bekanntschaft mit des Ministers bestem Mann.

Bei seinen verdeckten Ermittlungen findet sich das Trio alsbald in einem Verwirrspiel gegenseitiger Abhängigkeiten wieder, und selbst ihre Familien geraten in höchste Gefahr.
