Anstatt Unterstützung der Behörden zu erhalten, gerät sie im Laufe der polizeilichen Ermittlungen mehr und mehr unter Verdacht, Gians Tod verschuldet, wenn nicht gar gewollt zu haben. Nun macht sie sich, in die Enge getrieben und ohne Verbündete, allein auf die Suche nach der Wahrheit - und entdeckt dabei krumme Machenschaften und unliebsame Überreste des Zweiten Weltkrieges...
