Doc West ist einmal mehr ein viel gefragter Mann. In einem verschlafenen Westernstädtchen findet ein großes Pokerturnier statt, das sich der Doc natürlich nicht entgehen lassen will. Das Geld will der großherzige Cowboy in die Errichtung eines neuen Krankenhauses stecken. Von der Aussicht auf einen saftigen Gewinn angetrieben, lockt das Turnier aber auch den ein oder anderen übellaunigen Ganoven an, die dem Doc das Leben schwer machen wollen. Als ein paar Unholde auch noch seine Freundin entführen, steckt der Wildwestheld in der Klemme. Einerseits will er natürlich das Turnier gewinnen, auf der anderen Seite aber auch seine Freundin aus den Klauen der bösen Buben befreien. Aber Doc West wäre nicht Doc West, wenn er sich nicht gewohnt schlagkräftig und schlagfertig aus der brenzligen Situation befreien würde.
