Es ist der Freitagabend vor Weihnachten im Londoner Nobelrestaurant „Jones & Sons“: Chefkoch und Mitbesitzer Andy Jones hat mal wieder Stress mit seiner Ex-Frau und ist zudem komplett übermüdet. Als er in entsprechend irritiertem Zustand in seiner Küche ankommt, wird er umgehend davon in Kenntnis gesetzt, dass ein Gesundheitsinspektor den Betrieb herabgestuft hat und zudem ausgerechnet an diesem, komplett ausgebuchten Abend die Vorräte viel zu knapp bemessen sind. Andy und seiner Crew bleibt nichts anderes übrig als die Zähne zusammenzubeißen und irgendwie durchzupowern. Zu allem Überfluss sind die Gäste heute natürlich besonders anspruchsvoll und äußern einen Sonderwunsch nach dem anderen.
