  Karl möchte nicht nach Kopenhagen ziehen. Er liebt die Dünen, den Strand und das Meer in der abgelegenen Gegend, in der er mit seiner Mutter lebt. Aber er hat keine Wahl. Gott sei Dank nimmt ihn Sawsan, ein Mädchen aus einer türkischen Familie, unter ihre Fittiche. Von ihr lernt Karl, wie man ordentlich dänisch spricht und was die coolen Sprüche sind. Das hilft. Aber auch Sawsan hat ihre Probleme. Sie wünscht sich nichts sehnlicher, als mit einem eigenen Song in einer Casting-Show im Fernsehen dabei zu sein. Doch ihr Vater sagt Nein, denn für ihn gehört seine Tochter nicht auf die Bühne. Da lässt Karl sich etwas einfallen.
