Rock Power im Jahre 1984
Ein schwülstiges Rock-Musical, das allerdings nie auf dem Broadway zu sehen sein wird. Es wird so ziemlich die halbe Bibel drin verwurstet. Der englische Originaltitel "The Apple" kommt nicht von ungefähr. Zum Glück wurden die Lieder nicht auch noch synchronsisiert. Es tut mir leid, aber der Film ist einfach nur mittelmäßig, bis belanglos. Es wird zum hundertsten Mal die Story von Liebhaber, der seine Frau vor der bösen Glitzerwelt retten will, aufgewärmt. Dazu kommt eine dämliche schmalzige Pop-Rock-Musik, die auch in den achtzigern keinen mehr hinter dem Ofen hervorgelockt haben dürfte. Etwas trashiger und der Film wäre ein wahres Freudenfest geworden. So wirkt allerdings das meiste nur lächerlich und von christlicher Symbolik überfrachtet.
