Doch als er nach Hause zurückkehrt, glaubt ihm niemand und sein Fund wird als Gehirngespinst verschrien. Gezwungen, Beweise für seine Behauptungen zu finden, bricht Fawcett erneut in den Dschungel Brasiliens auf, begleitet von seinem mittlerweile erwachsenen Sohn Jack.
