Vor einigen Jahren hat der Junge Sawyer Nelson zusammen mit Freundin Hazel und dem Team von Dr. Clay Haskett am Clearwater Marine Hospital das Delfin-Weibchen Winter gerettet, das seither in dem Aquarium lebt. Doch nach dem Tod ihrer Artgenossin Panama muss schnell neue Gesellschaft für Winter her, denn Delfine dürfen nicht isoliert gehalten werden. Als mit der gestrandeten Hope tatsächlich ein Delfin-Neuzugang in den Park kommt, scheint Winter gerettet. Doch es ist nicht sicher, ob die beiden Tiere auch wirklich gut miteinander auskommen werden. Winter unterscheidet sich schließlich von anderen Delfinen und schwimmt seit ihrer Rettung mit Hilfe einer Flossenprothese, die Dr. Cameron McCarthy extra für sie entworfen hat. It's winter in Chicago and Billy Cochran (Dylan LaRay) can't stop alienating the people around him. One night, Billy gets an unexpected visitor: a rat that springs out of his bathroom and bites him. At first, everything seems okay. Billy comes home, drowsy from the tetanus shot, and bonds with Gina's lovely new caregiver Myra (Jess Paul). Then the rat fur appears. It grows out of Billy's skin, then goes away like it was never there. The more Billy looks in the mirror and scratches, the more he's forced to face the unthinkable: he might be turning into a rat. Als jedoch Dauerfrost und Minusgrade Frankreich wochenlang im Griff haben, hat Christines Familie plötzlich ganz andere Probleme: Die Regierung braucht dringend Wohnraum für finanziell minderbemittelte Bürger, um sie vor dem Kältetod zu bewahren. Und so weist der Staat kurzerhand allen Wohnungen, die im Verhältnis zur Wohnungsgröße zu wenige Bewohner aufweisen, neue Mitbewohner zu. Die neue Situation lässt einige zu nicht ganz legalen Mittel greifen. Nur Christine plagt ihr schlechtes Gewissen: Während alle versuchen, dem ,,Zusammenrücken" zu entgehen, handelt sie einfach - und darf sich schon bald über einige ,,unerwartete Gaste" freuen ...

In 1877, in a watch factory in a valley in north-western Switzerland, Josephine produces balance spindles, tiny parts that ensure the agitation movement ("unrueh") of the mechanical watches.
