Jenna ist eine junge, talentierte Designerin, die als Assistentin für Mia Montgomery, Inhaberin des Modemagazins Trend Fashion, arbeitet. Eines Tages trifft sie im Fahrstuhl auf einen gutaussehenden Unbekannten. Sie registriert noch den weihnachtlichen Mistelzweig, der über ihnen hängt, als der Fahrstuhl stecken bleibt. Der Fremde zwinkert ihr verschmitzt zu, deutet auf den Mistelzweig und küsst sie! Es scheinen Funken zu fliegen und die beiden fühlen sich unwiderstehlich zueinander hingezogen, zumindest fühlt sich der Kuss so an! Doch dann muss Jenna erfahren, dass der Fremde der verruchte Playboy-Bruder ihrer Chefin ist. Egal, wo er auftaucht hinterlässt er gebrochene Herzen. Ein unerwarteter Kulturschock für die beiden, die anstelle von Bauern nun Hippies in Landkommunen vorfinden. Dass ihre Eltern in der Zwischenzeit ebenfalls auf dem Weg nach Uzwil sind, ahnen Pablo und sein Begleiter nicht. Der unerwartete Besuch der Eltern sowie ihr Wiedersehen mit Freunden und heimlichen Liebesbeziehungen sorgen für grosse Aufregung.

Die Sorge um ihre finanzielle Situation allerdings lässt Vanetia schlussendlich doch einwilligen. Es dauert nicht lange, und die Mutter findet Gefallen an der Anwesenheit des Arztes.
