Die amerikanische MusiCares Foundation wurde 1989 von der „National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences“ gegründet und zeichnet jedes Jahr Personen und Institutionen aus, die sich auf dem Gebiet der karitativen Arbeit besonders verdient gemacht haben. 2013 wurde Bruce Springsteen mit einem Preis als „Person Of The Year“ ausgezeichnet und MusiCares veranstaltete zu seinen Ehren in Los Angeles ein Tribute-Konzert, das jetzt als DVD und Blu-ray erscheint: neben einer Vielzahl von Künstlern, die jeweils einen Springsteen-Song performen (u. a. Pauline zeigt sich so fasziniert von seinem Gesicht, seiner Wohnung und seinem Leben, dass sie zu ihm eine immer stärkere Bindung aufbaut, obwohl dieser sie im Koma liegend nicht erwidern kann.
