On September 25th 2014, shortly after the release of their World On Fire album, Slash with Myles Kennedy & The Conspirators took the stage at the legendary Roxy Theatre on Sunset Strip in West Hollywood. Nachdem ihre Eltern in einem Feuer umgekommen sind, erbt die junge Studentin Fawn Harriman das alte Roxy Kino im Herzen von Amityville. Fawn beschließt, mit ihrem Freund Kyle und drei weiteren Freunden eine Nacht in dem alten Filmtheater zu verbringen. Die fünf Freunde sind zunächst begeistert von dem alten, klassischen Kinogemäuer. Doch nachdem sie auf ein seltsames junges Mädchen treffen, das das verlassene Gebäude als Zuflucht gewählt hat, passieren plötzlich seltsame Dinge. Fawn stirbt scheinbar beim Sturz aus eine Loge, um im nächsten Moment wieder unversehrt zwischen ihren Freunden aufzutauchen und ein geisterhafter Schatten scheint durch die Gänge zu schleichen. Als die fünf daraufhin versuchen, das Kino wieder zu verlassen, finden sie alle Einund Ausgänge fest verschlossen. Einer nach dem anderen wird nun zum Opfer der mysteriösen Erscheinung. Das Kino wird zu einer Todesfalle.
