  The Rohingya are an ethnic Muslim minority from Myanmar's Rakhine State who have suffered several decades of persecution by the Burmese government. Many fled to neighbouring Bangladesh and other countries in search of safety. Following widespread ethnic cleansing by the Burmese army in August 2017, a mass exodus of over 700,000 Rohingya took place from Myanmar to Cox's Bazar, where one million refugees now live. Filmed over several months in Cox's Bazar, Rohingya is an observational, poetic record of the community's everyday life, social rituals, and the camp's unique landscapes.

  Thousands of young people are dying from using drugs in Kachin State, Myanmar. When the government is not doing enough to crack down drugs problem, the civilians formed the anti-drugs organization called "Pat Jasan" which means "Stop and Clean the drugs" in local Kachin Language, to eradicate drugs. A clash between "Pa Jasan" grups and drugs lords occurred.

There are lots of these “artisanal” oilfields dotted around Myanmar, where people have swapped crop cultivation for selling the oil they pump from the ground by hand.

  In 2012, violent conflicts broke out between the Muslim Rohingya and the Buddhist majority in Rakhine State on the west coast of Myanmar.
