Suuri isänmaallinen sota, eli Neuvostoliiton ja Natsi-Saksan välinen sota, 1940-luvun alussa. Venäjän rintaman etulinjassa Valkoisesta Tiikeri-tankista (White Tiger) kiertää salaperäisiä huhuja. Se ilmestyy kuin tyhjästä tuhoten tieltään kaiken. Puna-armeijan kersantti Ivan Naydenov selviää täpärästi mystisen tankin hyökkäykseltä. Nuori upseeri joutuu näytön paikkaan, kun hänen tehtäväkseen lankeaa pysäyttää legendaarinen panssarivaunu. Naydenov ryhtyy etsimään haamutankkia päättäväisesti, suorastaan pakkomielteisesti. Syksyllä 2014 Ukrainan ATO-vyöhykkeellä olevaan Ukrainan armeijan pataljoonaan on soluttautunut vakooja, jonka tarkoituksena häpäistä Ukrainan sotilaat ja rikkoa aselepo ennen seuraavaa Minskin kokousta. Tiedustelupalvelun kapteeni Sajenko, lempinimeltään Banderas, saa tehtäväkseen koota iskuryhmä etsiäkseen ja eliminodakseen tämä sabotööri, koodinimeltään "Hodok". Tehtävää vaikeuttaa se tosiasia, että pataljoona on Sajenkon kotikylässä Veselessä. Paikalliset asukkaat näkevät Sajenkon petturina ja Ukrainan armeija hallituksen epäluotettavana agenttina. Järjestely herättää epäilyksiä niin muissa vangeissa kuin vartijoissakin. Kochin epäilykset voimistuvat päivä päivältä ja Gilles tietää, että hänen salaisuutensa voi paljastua hetkenä minä hyvänsä…
