  Lucía (Belén Rueda) is a woman for whom leading a model life and taking control of her life is the most important thing. Since she got married, she has focused all of her efforts on caring for her family, until achieving what for her is a perfect family. However, her entire world begins to collapse with the arrival of Sara (Carolina Yuste), the girlfriend of her son; a young girl with great freedom and without mincing words who has a very different family from what Lucia always dreamed of as a political family.   A documentary film about Martta Koskinen, the last executed woman in Finland during the war in 1943. Martta was a Seamstress who lived in Helsinki during the Second World War. She was one of the post-civil war (in 1918) generation for whom the war had meant a disappointment in the system and failure in unity of the Finnish nation. The legacy of the civil war had left systems of persecution in place for those with socialist ideals. Martta and her fellow revolutionaries were determined to continue the resistance movement although they knew that at worst it could cost their lives. Martta was imprisoned twice before she was shot. She was an idealist, whose seemingly harmless, naive beliefs in peace and justice were the most dangerous traits a person could have at the time.

  ‘The Great Wall has been completed at its most southerly point.’ So begins Kafka’s short story ‘At the Building of the Great Wall of China’, and so, at Europe’s heavily militarised south-eastern frontier, begins this film. In the shadow of its own narratives of freedom, Europe has been quietly building its own great wall. Like its famous Chinese precursor, this wall has been piecemeal in construction, diverse in form and dubious in utility. Gradually cohering across the continent, this system of enclosure and exclusion is urged upon a populace seemingly willing to accept its necessity and to contribute to its building.

  Riku on haikaroiden kasvattama seikkailunhaluinen varpunen, joka talvehtii Pohjois-Afrikassa. Riku lähtee yhdessä erikoisten ystäviensä Olgan ja Kikin kanssa toiminnantäyteiselle matkalle vapauttaakseen varpuset Zamanon kynsistä. Matkan varrella hän saa uusia ystäviä - mutta myös uuden käsityksen itsestään.

  We shared a small apartment in Hamburg for 10 years. Just finished school and moved out with our parents, we were able to let off steam together in the big city and enjoy the freedom of student life. We laughed, cried, partied and toiled together - but above all we got to know each other intensively. In these 10 years we have not only grown up, but have also become best friends. Before we part ways and we will soon be living on different continents, we decide to go on a great journey together. Just the two of us. A journey in which we have time and leisure to think and reflect. In which we can only concentrate on ourselves.
