Kun maaginen meteoriitti iskeytyy Jännälään, se antaa Ryhmä Haun pennuille supervoimat, jotka muuttavat ne MAHTIPENNUIKSI! Ryhmän pienimmälle jäsenelle, Kajalle, uudet voimat ovat toteen käynyt unelma. Asiat ottavat kuitenkin ikävän käänteen, kun pentujen arkkivihollinen, Hanttinen, vapautuu vankilasta ja lyöttäytyy yhteen hullun tiedemiehen kanssa. Kaksikon aikeena on varastaa supervoimat itselleen. Jännälän kohtalon ollessa vaakalaudalla Mahtipentujen on pysäytettävä viholliskaksikko ennen kuin on liian myöhäistä. Ja Kajan on opittava, että kaikkein pieninkin pentu voi saada aikaan suuria.
