Tässä taianomaisessa seikkailussa Mariposasta tulee Flutterfieldin kuninkaallinen lähettiläs, ja hänet lähetetään tuomaan rauha keijukaismaansa ja sen kilpailijoiden, Shimmervalen kristallikeijujen, välille. Mariposa ei tee heidän kuninkaaseensa hyvää ensivaikutelmaa, mutta ystävystyy nopeasti kuninkaan ujon tyttären, prinsessa Catanian kanssa. Väärinkäsityksen vuoksi Mariposa karkotetaan keijukaismaasta, ja Mariposan ja Zeen palatessa Flutterfieldiin he kohtaavat pahan keijukaisen matkalla tuhoamaan Shimmervalea. Mariposa kiiruhtaa takaisin ja auttaa prinsessa Cataniaa pelastamaan keijukaismaansa. Yhdessä tytöt osoittavat, että paras tapa saada ystävä on olla itse sellainen.
