Kolme virolaista nuorta miestä päättää jättää 1980-luvun Neuvostoliiton taakseen ja lähteä kumiveneellä lahden yli Suomeen ja sitä kautta Ruotsiin länsimaisen elämäntyylin toivossa. Vapaa maailma kiinnostaa näitäkin nuoria miehiä, jotka saavat kotimaassaan vain haaveilla kaikista niistä materialistisista hienouksista, mitä länsimaissa on. Pojat törmäävät alamäkeen joutuneen promoottorin, joka alkaa leipoa pojista rokkibändiä - vaikka nämä eivät osaa laulaa tai soittaa. Kun siitä ei tule mitään ja leipä näyttää kapitalistisessakin maailmassa olevan työn takana, päättävät nuorukaiset suunnata takaisin Suomeen ja ryöstää koruliikkeen. Sen jälkeen vuorossa onkin jo pankkiryöstö.
