Machoilevaa ja tunteensa peittävän poliisin Vic Manningin elämään on mahtunut tragedia jos toinenkin. Tytär Nicole yrittää parhaansa isänsä kanssa, mutta Vic suojelee häntä työntämällä hänet etäälle. Vic jahtaa pahamaineisen huumausjengin pomoa, joka tappoi Vicin entisen parin Saran. Vic päättää parinsa kuolemaan johtaneiden tapahtumien jälkeen hankkiutua huonosta näöstään eroon ja mennä silmäleikkaukseen.
