Featuring American vocalist Myles Kennedy, the album was recorded on Slash's debut solo tour in Stoke-on-Trent, Slash's birthplace. It was released by Armoury Records, a division of Eagle Rock Entertainment, on 14 November 2011 as a live album and DVD. As well as songs from Slash's self-titled debut album, Made in Stoke also includes songs originally performed by the guitarist's previous bands Guns N' Roses, Slash's Snakepit and Velvet Revolver.

Defqon.1 (Defqon-1, Defqon.1 Festival 1, ou simplement DQ) est un festival de musiques électroniques, principalement axé hardstyle et techno hardcore, annuellement organisé depuis 2003 par Q-dance aux Pays-Bas. Il s'agit d'un événement de grande ampleur partagée entre activités et animations grandioses et pyrotechnie. Following the success of his first foray into opera, Einstein on the Beach, revolutionary American composer and musician Philip Glass soon turned to another great figure of the 20th century for inspiration. Set to lines from the Hindu Bhagavad Gita, Satyagraha depicts scenes from the life of Gandhi as he developed his philosophy of non-violent resistance in South Africa between 1896 and 1913. The opera became the second installment of Glass’s Portrait Trilogy, focused on innovators from across history. Satyagraha arrived at the Met during the 2007–08 season, when director Phelim McDermott made his debut with a production that employed everyday materials like newspaper and corrugated tin to create towering puppets and striking tableaus. In 2011, his staging returned, this time recorded live in HD. In this performance, tenor Richard Croft gives a moving performance as Gandhi, leading a remarkable ensemble cast conducted by Dante Anzolini.

Starring the exquisite coloratura soprano Emma Matthews as the innocent girl priestess Lakmé, and superb tenor Aldo Di Toro as the love-struck Gerald, the story tackles religion and cross-cultural love against a backdrop of British rule in India in the mid-19th century. French conductor Emmanuel Joel-Hornak brings out the full depth of the lush, dramatic score, with familiar high points being the beautiful renditions of the well-known Flower duet and Bell Song. Dominica Matthews adds her rich voice as Mallika and Stephen Bennett is darkly dominating as Brahmin priest Nilakantha, Lakmés father, while Roxane Hislop is a consumate Mistress Bentson. Set and costume designs by Mark Thompson fill the stage with rich colour, atmosphere and exoticism, complemented by Nigel Levings warm lighting. This restudied production, originally conceived by Adam Cook, is skilfully directed by Roger Hodgman.

A hard-hitting new production of Kurt Weill’s Rise and Fall of the City of Mahagonny by the Catalan collective La Fura dels Baus at the Teatro Real de Madrid. Composed in the 1930s by Kurt Weill and Bertolt Brecht, this is a mordant satire on capitalism and the inexorable industrialisation of a society in which the ultimate crime is not having money. In twenty scenes the authors tell the story of a city lost in the middle of a desert and run by three thugs; in Mahagonny food, sex, gambling and violence rule supreme.

Renée Fleming joue le rôle-titre de l’un des plus grands drames de Haendel, dans la production de Stephen Wadsworth vue pour la première fois au Met en 2004. Rodelinda est confrontée à un dilemme impossible : son mari Bertarido étant présumé mort, elle doit soit épouser le méprisé Grimoaldo (l'élégant Joseph Kaiser) qui a usurpé le trône de son mari, soit le voir assassiner son fils. Mais Bertarido (le contre-ténor principal Andreas Scholl) est vivant et finit par récupérer à la fois le trône et sa femme et fait la paix avec ses ennemis. Stephanie Blythe est merveilleuse dans le rôle d'Eduige, la sœur de Bertarido, fiancée à Grimoaldo mais qui se retourne contre lui. L'autorité baroque est dirigée par Harry Bicket.
