At the time of the 2011 earthquake, Japan received from Taiwan, which has a population of less than 2.4 million people, more than 20 billion yen in relief donation. The following year, in 2012, the number of Japanese tourists to Taiwan reached a record high. Many Japanese people who visit Taiwan say they see traces of Japan on this island. If the colonial history isn't even a century old, many people tend to forget the complexity of the past and what links countries, lands, peoples, times, what brought us to the present we live in. This film is Atsuko Sakai's second documentary work collecting voices of the "Japanese generation" in Taiwan.

We’re back for round two! Much like “AKB48+1”, this documentary goes through the English alphabet talking about a different aspect of the group for each letter. While still featuring tons of behind the scenes footage, it focuses more on member relations and the events of the past year (2012). Again, this documentary is a brilliant look into the diversity of the AKB48 experience. There’s so much about this group to learn, and the two bonus “AKB48+1” and “AKB48+1+10” documentaries provide a detailed look in a fun way.

In-depth look at the twilight years, spent training apprentices, of temple builder Nishioka Tsunekazu, who was called the "devil" as he devoted his life to temple architecture. His insistence on the gargantuan timescale of linking life to the next millennium emerges from people who knew him. Remarkable as well for showing the unknown backstage of temple architecture. Nishioka, known as "the last temple carpenter," handled the major Showa-era repairs of Horyuji temple, and in 1990 was at the scene of the reconstruction work for Yakushi temple.
