Door met hun toverkunsten Timmy's wensen te laten uitkomen, proberen ze hem te helpen en gelukkiger te maken. De magie die Cosmo en Wanda gebruiken om Timmy te helpen, veroorzaakt meestal echter alleen nog maar meer rommel. In het begin zijn de wensen best leuk, maar langzamerhand begint het uit de hand te lopen. Uiteindelijk komt het allemaal weer goed.

De ietwat verlegen Liftie voegt daar tussen neus en lippen "Ik denk het wel, ja" aan toe. Bob doet het werk, maar is niet altijd de handigste. Zijn assistente Wendy helpt hem dan en samen maken ze de klus af. Spud de vogelverschrikker houdt van flauwe geintjes. Zijn naïviteit brengt hem vaak in de problemen, samen met de machines die hij vaak bij zijn plannetjes probeert te betrekken. Bob en Wendy weten de schade altijd weer te repareren, vaak met behulp van de machines.
