Douanier Ducatel houdt er in het dagelijkse leven echter al bijna een jaar een geheime relatie op na met Louise Vandevoorde, de zus van Ruben. Mathias zal zich dus geen moeite sparen om zijn nieuwe douaneopdracht te doen slagen en de sympathie en achting te winnen van de broer van zijn geliefde.
