Based on the book “The Legend of Mickey Tussler”, this film follows the story of eighteen-year-old Mickey Tussler, who lives on a farm with his father and mother and who has Asperger’s Syndrome, a form of autism. But he can throw apples at an amazing speed. When a chance meeting occurs with the baseball manager of the semi-pro team the River Rats, from Clayton, Ohio, Mickey gets a chance to pitch for the team and to prove to his father he can do more than live hidden away on the family farm, taking care of his pig Oscar.

What do you do when you lose everything and have to start all over again? Ten-year-old Lucas, the middle child of a wealthy family, lives in an expensive neighborhood in a large house, equipped with every luxury. Everything changes completely when Lucas, while searching for his Sinterklaas surprise, finds a large box of unpaid bills. Father Maarten turns out to have enormous financial problems and the family loses everything. The family is evicted and, with the help of their cleaner Nina, finds shelter in an old office building among other new poor people. While father (Jeroen Spitzenberger) and mother (Hadewych Minis) have a hard time with themselves and each other, and big brother Thomas (15) and sister Emma (7) have a terrible time getting used to the new situation, Lucas tries to make the best of it with the highest goal: a Merry Christmas for the whole family.

De Pieten lopen op tegen een modern probleem. De meeste schoorstenen zijn verdwenen en veel huizen zijn tegenwoordig beveiligd met een alarm. De arme Pieten worden steeds door de politie achterna gezeten als ze proberen de kadootjes te bezorgen bij de kinderen. Eén voor één belanden ze in de gevangenis. Wanneer Sinterklaas druk bezig is om het probleem van de Pieten op te lossen, wordt hij ontvoerd door de gemene Dr. Brein (Pamela Teves) en haar handlangers Joris en Boris. Ondertussen proberen Pieta en Mevrouw Dakjes een stel Pietjes het Pietenvak bij te brengen. Daar worden ze ook nog lastig gevallen door Michiel (Ralf Mackenbach), die voor de schoolkrant een interview met Sinterklaas wil hebben. Pakjesavond nadert en voor de Pieten en Sinterklaas wordt het een race tegen de klok om op tijd een oplossing te vinden en Pakjesavond te redden.

Deze zomer worden de rangers blij verrast met de terugkeer van Alwin. Hij blijkt echter met een reden teruggekomen te zijn, want hij heeft hulp nodig. In India is een kudde olifanten verdwenen en de dorpelingen zijn radeloos. Onmiddelijk besluiten de rangers naar India te vertekken om te kudde terug te vinden. Aangekomen in India blijkt dat de olifanten niet zomaar zijn verdwenen, maar dat ze zijn ontvoerd door ivoorsmokkelaars. De rangers splitsen zich op in twee groepen. De ene groep gaat de jungle in, op zoek naar de olifanten, terwijl de andere groep afreist naar Mombai om het spoor van de smokkelaarste vinden. In hun poging de olifanten te redden moeten de rangers niet alleen de gevaren trotseren, maar belanden ze ook nog in een echte Bollywoodfilm.
