  Akrabaları ile yaşayan Mary 2 kediyi takip ederken değişik bir çiçek bulur. Bu çiçek sihirli güçler vermektedir. Mary az biraz gittikten sonra küçük bir süpürge sopası bulur. Süpürgenin harekete geçtiğini hisseder gibi olunca çok şaşırır. Ancak Mary daha neler olduğunu anlayamadan süpürge onu ağaç dallarının üstünden bulutlara çıkarıp ardından, tüm araştırmaların vasıflı cadılardan oluşan yetenekli bir kadro tarafından yapıldığı Endor Üniversitesi topraklarına getirir. Ertesi gün akademiye dönen Mary, akademinin başkanı Bayan Pumblechook ve onun iş arkadaşı Doktor Dee’ye görünmeden tüm hayvanları serbest bırakmayı başarır. Ardından Mary de kaçar… Ancak bahsi geçen şeytan ikili Mary’yi kesintisiz bir takibe alır.
