Summer 1944, Schwäbisch Hall. Alvin ve Lance 1988 yılınız yaz mevsimini, harap olmuş ve çölleşmiş bir ormanda geçirmektedir. Ormanı bu hale getiren felaket ise meydana gelen bir yangındır.
