Sie gestaltet ihr reich als verrückte Schachpartie ohne wirklich klare Regeln, in einer postapokalyptischen Dystopie von Herrschaft und Unterwerfung. Nach ihrer Laune werden ihre Untertanen, die Schachfiguren regelmässig bestraft, gequält oder eingesperrt. In dem ganzen apokalyptischen Wahnsinn und der Hoffnung auf Rettung, stellt sich immer wieder die Frage wer von wem in dieser Schachpartie gelenkt wird, wer ist Bauer; Läufer oder Königin.
