Als sein ehemaliger Vorgesetzter Ola Sellberg neuer Europol-Präsident wird und nach seinen Ausführungen über die „dritte Welle“ des organisierten Verbrechens und die damit verbundene grosse Einflussnahme auf europäische Banken und Großunternehmen ums Leben kommt, tritt Falk wieder in den Polizeidienst ein und geht zur Europol in Den Haag.
