Die verstorbenen Herrscher entzögen den Soldaten ihre Energie, um damit ihre Kämpfe im Jenseits auszufechten.

John hat seine Gefängnisstrafe abgesessen und will noch einmal von vorne anfangen. Doch schon auf der langen Fahrt vom Knast zum Hof seiner Familie sind die Spannungen zwischen ihm und seinem Vater greifbar. Und auch die Dorfgemeinschaft ist keineswegs begeistert über die Rückkehr des jungen Mannes. Seine Tat ist weder vergessen noch vergeben. Er wird angefeindet, Mitschüler grenzen ihn aus, bald fliegen Steine. Eine Lynchmob-Stimmung macht sich breit. Und in John bauen sich dieselben Aggressionen auf, die ihn ins Gefängnis gebracht haben. Unfähig, seine Vergangenheit hinter sich zu lassen, schlägt er zurück.
