Tämä tuo vähän lisämielenkiintoa kolmososan juoneen, joka keskittyy ennen kaikkea Hämiksen ja hänen naisensa rakoilevaan suhteeseen. Hyvin ei mene kaveririntamallakaan: Harry kantaa kaunaa Peterille isänsä, Vihreän menninkäisen, kuoleman takia ja muuttuu itsekin superkonnaksi.Avaruudesta pudonnut organismi muotoutuu suhdesopan keskellä Hämähäkkimiehen uudeksi mustaksi puvuksi. Sen myötä nössö-Peter muuttuu kovikseksi, joka keimailee kadulla jokaiselle vastaantulevalle naiselle ja kukkoilee jazz-klubilla elokuvan toisessa (!) musikaalikohtauksessa. Tässä vaiheessa avaruusmönjä on ottanut valtaansa myös elokuvan tekijät tai sitten näiltä on muuten vaan karannut mopo käsistä. Muilta osin filmin huumori onneksi toimii.
