Kilpaileva tutkimuslaitos IPT Lab tekee tutkimusta samalla tekniikalla ja palkkaa Tsui Hu: n varastamaan Nexuksta Tianin tutkimuksen. Hu kidnappaa Tianin pojan ja vaatii lunnaina tämän tutkimuksen dokumentteja - aikaa on tunti tai poika tapetaan. Tian epäonnistuu ja poika surmataan. Epätoivoinen Tian päättää lähettää itsensä menneisyyteen estämään poikansa sieppauksen, mutta huomaakin päätyvänsä eri rinnakkaistodellisuuksiin ja löytää useita versioita tulevaisuuden itsestään. Kaikkien Xia Tianien on nyt toimittava yhdessä pelastaakseen poikansa.
