Mad Season was an American rock supergroup formed in Seattle, Washington, in 1994 by members of three popular Seattle-based bands: Alice in Chains, Pearl Jam and Screaming Trees. Mad Season only released one album, Above, and is best known for the single "River of Deceit". The band went on a semi-permanent hiatus in 1996 due to the band members' conflicting schedules and vocalist Layne Staley's problems with substance abuse. Attempts were made in the late 1990s to revive the group without Staley; however, the band dissolved following the death of bassist John Baker Saunders in 1999.

La performance se déroule sur deux "stages" : un carré et un circulaire, reliés par un convoyeur. Le film a été publié aux formats VHS, LaserDisc et DVD. Un album live portant le même titre avec les mêmes chansons existe également. Le film a reçu un Grammy Awards du meilleur film musical 1996. Le film a été remastérisé et devrait être disponible en DVD et en Blu-ray le 2 juillet 2012. La nouvelle version va contenir la chanson Red Rain qui n'était pas présente sur les versions précédentes.

Le cinéaste Friedrich Monroe a des problèmes pour finir un film muet en noir et blanc sur Lisbonne. Il appelle son ami, l'ingénieur du son Phillip Winter, à l'aide. Quand Winter arrive quelques semaines plus tard à Lisbonne, Monroe a disparu et laissé le film inachevé. Fasciné par la ville et la chanteuse portugaise Teresa, Winter décide de rester et commence à enregistrer le son du film. Dans le même temps Monroe navigue à travers la ville avec un caméscope et essaye de capturer des images invisibles. Etta James made many appearances at the Montreux Jazz Festival across her long and distinguished career from her first concert in 1975 through to her last in 2008. This release focuses on the concert from 1993 when she was at her absolute peak and complements it with selected tracks from many other Montreux appearances. It features many of her best loved tracks and songs that she is particularly associated with. Etta James was one of the most respected performers of her generation. In a career stretching over 60 years she was inducted into the Rock’n’Roll Hall Of Fame and the Blues Hall Of Fame, won 3 Grammys and received many more nominations and was named Female Blues Artist Of The Year on no less than 14 occasions. Etta James sadly passed away after a long illness in January 2012 and this DVD is a fitting tribute to one of the greatest female vocalists of the 20th century.
