Ash en zijn vrienden zijn uitgenodigd op een groot festival, waar gevierd wordt dat lang geleden held Sir Aaron en zijn Pokémon Lucario de wereld hebben gered van de ondergang door gebruik te maken van de krachten van een Magische Boom. Ash en Pikachu winnen de Pokémon wedstrijd, krijgen de titel 'Beschermer van Aura' en mogen de staf van Sir Aaron voor een avond vasthouden.
